Shadow of Mordor’s next DLC, The Desolation of Mordor has been given a release date of May 8th and some brand new details.

The content includes a brand new story campaign, which follows Baranor, the captain of the tower from Minas Ithil, as he tries to get behind enemy lines in the Desert of Lithlad in Mordor.

To do this, he will raise an Easterling army to open a new war front in Shadow of War. But also meet Torvin the Dwarven Hunter who has plenty of side missions to offer.

In addition, new human mercenaries and bodyguards will be able to back you up and defend you. And you’re going to need them as you now fend off against the deadly Were-wyrms. Sounds gruesome!

Monolith will be showing off the DLC every Thursday on their Twitch channel at 3pm PDT, so if you fancy getting a first look at the content, that’s the place to go.
