The Division 2 is in development, Ubisoft have confirmed today.
Development is being led by Massive Entertainment and collaborated on with Ubisoft Annecy, Redstorm, Reflections, Ubisoft Bucharest and Ubisoft Shanghai.
The Division 2 will use an updated version of the Snowdrop engine which will allow the development which will allow the development team to realise their ambitions for the franchise.
The news follows the announcement Ubisoft are expanding The Division team.
The Division 2 will be shown off at E3, this year. In the meantime, Ubisoft will continue to support The Division post 1.8. with two further title updates. Both updates will be Global Events, including more legendary difficulty missions. There will also be an Xbox One X update to support 4K and 1080p.
Also, as of June 2018, players will have access to ‘Crests’ which have unique achievements which will provide rewards for The Division 2. Perhaps they will also tie in with Ubisoft Club so you can use those rewards on your platform of choice?
