In an interview with Examiner, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz revealed that CD Projekt Red has no plans to release paid DLC for The Witcher 3.
The comments don’t outright claim the company won’t release paid DLC for the game, but it’s clear what the company’s stance is in terms of quality.
We could sell extra content to gamers down the road, but we don’t believe in that. We believe patches, fixes and additional content should be provided to gamers free of charge. Only something really big, and something that will not make you feel ripped off, justifies a price tag.
If we ever decide to charge you for something, we think you will appreciate what you get in return.
Basically, content updates are a possibility, but paid expansions, at least for the forseeable, probably aren’t.
