Gajin Entertainment have released a new update for War Thunder, available in Open Beta on PC and Playstation 4.
Update 1.37 introduces new progression system, new planes and combat maps.
The update adds a whopping 20 new aircraft, such as Ki-84 Japanese Fighter and German attack plane Hs.129B-3. As a result, there are now 300 historically recreated planes now available in War Thunder.
The update also adds 8 more maps, and each location has received a large overhaul with updated renders through DirectX 11 support. Test-flights are also improved and players can choose different missions, as well as the skill of opponents, weather effects and more.
The progression system lets pilots choose the aircraft they wish to unlock next and what modifications they want to research for it. This allows improved, more rapid progression. The update also prepares the game for the forthcoming Ground Forces expansion, players will be researching tanks and other vehicles from the beginning, regardless of previous game experience.
