When it comes to the Warcraft movie from Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) we’ve been given nothing solid at all. Yes we’ve had some snippets of who may star in it, but no real meat on where and when we will land in Azeroth.
Well at Blizzcon 2013 we were shown a few concept art pictures from the Warcraft movie which is due to start filming in Vancouver (2013) and also a brief overview of what our story will revolve around.
The story of Anduin Lothar versus Durotan, Human and Orc heroes from the original real-time strategy games.
Jones also commented that the original script was too focused on the Alliance humans, however the changes given to the script made this more of a balanced view.
It’s about both sides. It’s going to be red and blue.
When it comes to cast both Colin Farrell and Paula Patton are the main names being thrown around but Jones didn’t confirm and said,
It’s been hard to find an actor who looks like Durotan. Every time I meet an actor I just try to squish his face.
Bill Westenhofer compared the Warcraft to the Ridley Scott film Gladiator and went on to discuss to weaponry used in the film.
The swords that are being built are the biggest swords a human being can wield.
The concept art looks fantastic and I hope it can be replicated on the screen.
