Wargroove 2 features map creation tools for long term support and intriguing new Conquest Roguelike Mode

Sequel to super hit Wargroove is out in just a few short weeks on Steam and Switch.

Releasing as a console exclusive on Nintendo’s hybrid system, the sequel will be releasing on October 5th and while following a very familiar pattern to what we’ve seen before, also has some marked differences.

The strategy title obviously features a new campaign, but this is delivered by 3 seperate stories. There’s also new factions to work alongside, new units, but also a night mode to check out.

The big additions here, though, are a brand new Conquest Roguelike mode and an improved map and campaign editor with the option to make your own cutscenes.

Map building, in particular, will ensure the game has a healthy life beyond launch with people able to share their campaigns with others.

Conquest will get most of the headlines, though, with singleplayer focused, small-scale battles where gold and health transfer with you and decision making is ‘permanent’.

It all sounds intriguing and we don’t have much longer to wait. Wargroove 2 launches on October 5th. Pre-orders are open now with a 20% discount
