The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine coming May 30th

[Update] Looks like Steam jumped the gun a bit early. A listing for The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine was put up on Steam with a release date, then quickly pulled soon after.

However, some eagle-eyed gamers were able to grab a shot of the page before it disappeared.

This listing suggests we’ll be getting the massive DLC on May 30th, just a few weeks away. This definitely ties in with the ‘before E3’ release highlighted below.

Expect this to be officially confirmed by CD Projekt RED sometime this week.

[Original Story] The Witcher 3 already received one huge DLC earlier this year in Hearts of Stone. It was massively impressive in its offering, but apparently that was just the tip of the iceberg. The upcoming Blood and Wine is on a much larger scale.

In a recent interview with GameStar, CD Projekt RED offered some exclusive information on the mostly secretive content, saying that the size of the playspace will be double that of the Skellige Islands.

The expansion is also expected to release before this year’s E3 which starts on June 14th, meaning it will launch within the next 6 and a half weeks. Much sooner, perhaps, than any of us were expecting.

The other big news is that the expansion will have a brand new Gwent deck for you to play with.

Outside the DLC, the interview goes into detail on other things, including a potential GOTY edition for The Witcher 3. The possibility of a remastering of The Witcher 1 and 2 was also shot down.

More as we get it.
