NoFaTe and thoseclever folks at Emulator Nexus have been beavering away since 2010 on reverse engineering Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
The 2010 FPS from DICE may have been superseded by the imaginatively titled, Battlefield 3, but with sales of 12 million plus and decent scores across the board, if you haven’t given it a go by now, this may be the time to do so.
Check out a video of this exciting mod in action:
Playing the mod is easy. All you need to do is download a .ddl file and stick it in the right place. Setting up a server seems to be a bit more difficult, however, but if you fancy a challenge check it out here.
For the non-IT experts amongst us, fear not, there are plenty of servers up and running as I type this.
The mod tools may be a little rough around the edges, but they let you modify maps, vehicle handling and weapon multipliers; so plenty of fun to be had there.
Let’s hope the tech is applicable to Battlefield 3 and we see a similar mod applied to that soon.
