Activision is completely retooling the Call of Duty experience this year and one of the big changes is DLC.
With the recent major reveal of the game, Activision have reconfirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will not have a traditional Season Pass.
There will not be paid DLC and instead the post-launch schedule will be full of free maps and content. No, seriously!
This is a different system again from the poorly receive Black Ops 4 Pass, instead the whole Season Pass system as a whole has been scrapped.
Joe Cecot, Infinity Ward Design Director reconfirmed this in their Playstation Blog Post though is still keeping the full plan under wraps.
“We just revealed, so it’s a little early to talk post-launch, but we can say that it will be a regular distribution of content. We have a very full post-launch schedule, because we want players to jump into our game and we want to keep them really busy with new content for a long time.”
Other big changes include cross-platform play between PC and consoles, three map sizes, varied multiplayer play styles, and a brand new engine.
We can’t wait to learn more about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and will be sure to pass on any news about the DLC as soon as we get it.
