We now have a time frame of when to expect Cyberpunk 2077 DLC.
The game’s launch trailer hit just a few days back to coincide with the release of the game and on a single frame at the end, CDPR revealed DLC is coming in early 2021.
Rock Paper Shotgun picked out the slide and also translated the text on screen which confirms Cyberpunk 2077 will be ‘kicking off our free DLC program in early 2021.’
What’s more, we have some idea what it will look like as ‘Just like with The Witcher 3, expect an assortment of free DLC packs to begin hitting Night City, dropping a bunch of cool stuff that’ll inject even more life into the world of the dark future.’
It is also safe to assume there will be some larger expansions, like The Witcher 3’s Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine as both are mentioned.
One would have to assume that before all that, however, CDPR will be focusing on optimizing the Cyberpunk 2077 experience on consoles. While the site didn’t receive a review code on this occasion, two members of the team have been playing since launch day on different platforms and both of them have mentioned different bugs to the other.
One even found a bug within the game’s first five minutes! It’s certainly not been smooth sailing, even if the game has already turned a profit!
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One.
