Sandfall and Kepler Interactive have directly announced an update is coming to Expedition 33 soon.

The update thanks fans for all the amazing support and celebrates more than 5 million copies sold, which is an incredible achievement for the game.

Within the update, players can expect…

A new, playable environment, taking the characters of Expedition 33 to a brand-new location with new enemy encounters and surprises to discover.

Challenging, new boss battles for late-game players to overcome.

New costumes for each member of the Expedition, giving even more customization options for players throughout their adventure.

New text and UI game localizations into Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total number of supported languages to 19.

And more to come…

Seems pretty chunky in size! And a good way for players to revisit the game, while fully localising the game into many more langauges.

We don’t have a timeline for this yet, but it does seem to suggest it could land before the end of the year.

We placed Expedition 33 among our top games of the half year. As to whether it will end up as our Game of the Year, we’ll see where it lands. Expedition 33 is now available on PC, PS and Xbox.
