Leaks brought the game to the attention of the world a few days ago, but now Far Cry 6 is official.
Releasing February 21st 2021, it will feature Gus Fring and Moff Gideon actor, Giancarlo Esposito, as El Presidente.
The game was revealed in a stunning cinematic trailer during Ubisoft Forward. And, I gotta tell you, it’s super chilling and haunting.
We saw no gameplay – that will likely be saved for a future Ubisoft Forward that’s been confirmed for later this year – but it has now been revealed that Far Cry 6 will have three DLC packs as part of a Season Pass.
Much like Far Cry 5 had some unique DLC, this is not a new move for the Far Cry franchise, though, of course, details are scarce.
A Collector’s Edition has also been revealed and will include – of all things – a non-functional flamethrower.
You’ll also get a collector’s case, artbook, set of 10 sticker, steelbook, chorizo keyring, map, and selected game soundtrack
There will also be a Libertad Pre-Order Pack which includes some two digital bonuses, a Discos Locos which is a disc launcher and a Libertad Chorizo, which is, uh, a pup with wheels for back legs.
So, yeah, that’s a pack you can get if you pre-order the game now.
Far Cry 6 will be available on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: Ubisoft are currently facing numerous allegations of sexual harassment. While key personnel from the company have been removed from senior positions over the weekend, tonight the company disappointingly made the decision not to address the allegations made against them during their Ubisoft Forward livestream.
