Goldeneye is coming back in a big way and it’s sooner than you’re expecting.

Announced today during their Developer Direct, Xbox confirmed Goldeneye is coming to Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch Online this Friday!

During a Nintendo Direct last year, we knew Goldeneye was making a comeback via the N64 app but now we have a date and will soon be able to travel Bunker and the Dam Facility once more.

The Switch Online version has a widescreen mode and online multiplayer, whereas the game has been ‘recreated’ for Xbox, including dual analog stick support, 4K resolution, as well as four player splitscreen.

Interestingly, online multiplayer is not present in the Xbox version, but if you own Rare Replay already you can download Goldeneye at no additional cost. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass.

Goldeneye is one of those classic games that was once felt it might be lost to time but the wait is almost over and we can’t wait to get stuck in all over again.
