The latest GTA V update has got cheaters in its sights and intends to blast them to kingdom come!
Those who have exploited the game’s cash system are being targetted specifically and will be hit hard with the latest update.
A maintenance period has been ongoing in order to remove counterfeit money from the game. Rockstar have stated that those who’ve received counterfeit money but not been involved in acquiring it will not be reprimanded, nor will they lose their properties. The money will, however, be removed from their accounts.
Those who have cheated, however, will be subject to in-game penalties at the discretion of Rockstar. This may include being placed in isolated cheater pools or being permanently banned from GTA Online altogether.
GTA Online should be back to normal from tomorrow.
