Niantic have finally given us a release date for their next major game and it’s coming later this week.
Wizards Unite, the Harry Potter take on Pokemon GO, will release Worldwide on June 21.
The game has been in beta for Australian and New Zealand players for nearly two months now, but at a massive event in Universal Studios, LA today, Niantic revealed the launch date for everyone else is close at hand.
Wizards Unite had been rumoured to launch sometime this week once word about the event started to spread, but now we have official confirmation.
Niantic also revealed that a massive, Chicago based event – similar to the Pokemon GoFests – will take place later this Summer with more details to follow. Wizfest, anyone?
Wizards Unite follows the same principles of Pokemon Go, but will have more of an RPG focus, offering more reasons to raid together with friends.
We look forward to checking out the game and giving our thoughts later this week.
