The future for IO Interactive looks very promising indeed and their recent interview with TheGamer makes things even more exciting.
While the studio is already hard at work on a new James Bond game, they’ve confirmed there’s still plenty of work to do on Hitman 3.
Forest Swartout Large, Executive Producer on Hitman 3 told TheGamer “We’re continuously working on Hitman so we are already looking to the future.”
In terms of what that DLC looks like, Large continues “We are definitely going to be doing some DLC, but we haven’t defined what that is.”
It does sound, however, that it will take players back to familiar locations rather than taking somewhere new.
Large adds “We’re more looking at using existing locations and reimagining them, twisting them. And this time around, we can use the whole trilogy. We can look back at Hitman 2016 maps, Hitman 2 maps – we have all the locations.”
Hitman 3 has already made back its development costs for IO Interactive and has been critically acclaimed across the board. We can’t wait to see what the studio does next.
