After months of speculation, Tetsuya Nomura, Director of Kingdom Hearts 3, has confirmed DLC will happen.
In an interview with Dengeki Online, Nomura suggested that rather than having a ‘Final Mix’ package, Square Enix will release ‘every additional content as DLC.’
There’s no timescales or any sort of order to the content that we will receive, but we do know that it will be a mix of free and paid DLC.
Nomura has indicated, though, that ‘we want to finish working on the DLC by this year’ so that the team can ‘move on to the next game’. Kingdom Hearts 4, perhaps?
He also confirmed that Critical Mode is coming but that they will ‘constantly adjust/debug it’.
Exciting news, indeed. More as we get it.
