Kirby and the Forgotten Land Star-Crossed World Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Showcased

The highly anticipated Upgrade Pack for Kirby and the Forgotten Land has been showcased in a new trailer.

Coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 later this month alongside a native version of Kirby’s 3D adventure, the Upgrade Pack will add a whole new level to the game – Star-Crossed World.

In addition to upgrades to the Kirby and the Forgotten Land game, enhancing it for Nintendo Switch 2, the Star-Crossed World is a new story campaign that’s been added to the game.

At the cost of an additional upgrade pack – also available for Super Mario Party Jamboree and both The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom – players will be able to visit a new world after a ‘massive meteor crashes into the Forgotten Land‘. Kirby must gather ‘Starries’ which are ‘fragments of stars scattered across the land’.

This includes new Starry stages, which provide new paths and areas that were previously inaccessible, but the Beast Pack are also more powerful and there’s some tough new enemies to face as well.

Three new Modes have also been added as you can reach ‘lofty platforms with High Jump’ and ‘lay the Smash Down on enemies and objects with Spring Mouth’. You can also ‘latch onto walls and get rolling vertically with Gear Mouth’ as well as ‘slide along slopes, jump to reach things and spin to attack foes’ with Sign Mouth.

There’s also some new activities like collecting the Starry Coins to buy new ‘figures from Astronomer Waddle Dee’. and even a Colosseum to fight in tough boss-rush battles within The Ultimate Cup Z EX.

As for the Nintendo Switch 2 version itself, it will, of course, include higher quality graphics and faster frame rates across both the base game and Star-Crossed World.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a fantastic game and it seems set to get better than ever when the Nintendo Switch 2 edition launches on August 28th. An upgrade pack is also available for those who already own the game on Nintendo Switch.
