Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 1.6.0 has added the surprising, yet delightful addition of Breath of the Wild Champion’s Tunic Link to the roster along with his Master Cycle Zero.
This free update is available for everyone and is part of further planned updates for the game, promised by the General Manager of Software at Nintendo, Shinya Takahashi.
The news came from Nintendo of America’s official Twitter with a brand new video which shows the bike off in its full shiny glory on a series of Mario Kart tracks.

For many, this will be the best piece of content news for Mario Kart 8, following Breath of the Wild’s second DLC, Champions Ballad, and one wonders if that’s all Nintendo have up their sleeve for this amazing franchise.
Either way, seeing DLC for a game that’s technically over four years old is amazing and really shows that Nintendo’s philosophy on DLC has completely changed with Switch.
