A rather large patch will be making its way to Marvel Heroes tomorrow. Amongst other things, Eternity Splinters will start to drop from mobs.
The drop rate is expected to be between 10-12 per hour, though this is currently unconfirmed. The most expensive heroes will be around 600 Splinters. 200 will be the lowest, whereas 400 will be mid-tier.
This does mean, however, that heroes will no longer drop from mobs and so the only way to purchase them will be to get the amount of Eternity Splinters or actually spend cold hard cash.
To go along with that, Endgame has now been improved. The Midtown Manhattan mode has replaced Limbo mode. This mode allows for up to 10 players in one instance and this group will have to fight Supervillan groups. Players must save civilians and stop bank robberies, amongst other things.
Enemies will be scaled to the current level range of the Midtown instance you’re in and level ranges are currently 50-54 or 55-59. You can jump in at level 1 provided you’ve completed the story repeatedly.
The Human Torch was also added to the Test Centre and is quite possibly set to appear in tomorrow’s patch.
There are a few other details, so I would thoroughly recomend reading the NeoGAF thread where I found this information.
Big changes are coming. Will you be getting involved?
