Marvel MaXimum Collection brings back classic 16 bit games, launches March 27

Just announced at GDC, the recently announced MARVEL MaXimum Collection already has a release date.

Not to be confused with the recently released MARVEL vs Capcom Fighting Collection, this MARVEL MaXimum Collection brings six more classic Marvel games to us in exciting new ways. And it’s releasing very soon!

With a whopping 13 console and handheld counterpart games, the MaXimum Collection includes games you loved from the Arcades, as well as the NES, Mega Drive, SNES and even Game Boy.

Included in the collection is the iconic X-Men: The Arcade Game, arguably the poster release, but you also have some of the fantastic 16 Bit Spider-Man games thought to be lost to time and an absolutely rock solid Silver Silver NES game!

  • Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge
  • Captain America and the Avengers
  • Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage
  • Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety
  • Silver Surfer

In addition, there’s full Rollback Netcode for the X-Men Arcade Game, as well as Ultrawide Support, Online Crossplay, In-Game Rewind features as well as the option to Save Anywhere. As well as an in-game museum, cheat menus and more.

The digital version of the MaXimum Collection will release on PC and consoles on March 27, but you can also pick up a physical edition of the game and pre-orders will open on March 27 through to May 24.

The physical edition will include a Foil Cover Sheet, full glossy manual and Sprites Sticker Sheet. It looks divine!
