Konami have issued a patch overnight to remove the Always Online element of the PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
According to users, the Windows PC version of the game refused to boot without an active internet connection.
Steven Key, European Brand Manager for Kojima Productions, claims that new downloads will not need the fix. Files will actually be replaced for those who downloaded the game before the patch.
Konami should have paid closer attention to the people who forced Microsoft to reverse their own policies with the formerly ‘Always On’ Xbox One console last year. None of this would have happened..
