Pikmin 3 is getting a re-release on Nintendo Switch with new content this October.
Following the release of Paper Mario: The Origami King, this will be the next first-party Nintendo Switch game releasing this year.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe comes to Switch on October 30th and features new side-story missions, multiple difficulties and all DLC from the original Wii U release.
The new side-story missions feature both Olimar and Louie and give additional context about the main story before and after it happens.
A Piklopedia has also been added, full of information about collected creatures and new in-game badges.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe was randomly announced in a tweet earlier today, much like Paper Mario: The Origami King. In the absence of a Direct, is this how Nintendo will be announcing all future games from now on?
Either way, it’s great to see Pikmin is making its Switch debut, a franchise I have a massive soft spot for.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe releases October 30th exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
