A full blown remaster of Plants vs Zombies is coming back to modern platforms this year with updated features.
Announced during yesterday’s Nintendo Partner Direct and immediately confirmed for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, Plants vs Zombies: Replanted brings back the classic campaign from the original game.
Replanted will offer fully upscaled HD graphics, as well as additional visual options. But there will also be new modes to accompany the classic campaign, including local co-op, as well PVP, a Rest in Peace hardcore mode, and even updated mini games, modes and challenges.
The trailer features a hilarious animated spot which fits right into the tempo of the game and really shows off just how good the game is looking on modern hardware.
You can still technically pick the game up on PC as a Game of the Year Edition, but it seems there’s a lot of additional content coming to this remaster that might make it worth your while waiting.
Plants vs Zombies: Replanted launched October 23 on PC, Switch 1/2, PS, and Xbox.
