Pure Chess goes Steampunk with new play set

The first major DLC for Pure Chess has gone live and it takes us to the realm of Steampunk. Timely, considering the release of a certain Bethesda assassin-em-up

Priced at just £1.99, players get a brand new environment set inside a zeppelin inspired by Victorian era Sci-Fi.

You’ll also get a brand new host of metallic, robot-looking chess pieces, and pawns that look like dragon eyes.

Seriously, look at them.

Made by Ripstone Games, Pure Chess features lots of accessible tutorials and cool modes, including 9 chess sets, 6 locations, 3 tournaments, and 100 bonus chess puzzles, as well as ranking boards and online play.

You can pick up the DLC right here, but will need the Pure Chess Grandmaster Edition in order to play. At a discounted rate of £7.99 this week though, seems like it could be worth a punt.

I mean, it’s Chess. Which is awesome.
