Capcom have announced that the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, as well as Resident Evil 7 will get an upgrade this year.
Those who already own the games will get the upgrades at no additional cost through Xbox Smart Delivery and an upgrade from PS4 to PS5. PC owners will also get an updated patch.
Upgrades to the games will include higher frame rate, ray tracing and 3D Audio. And on PS5, all games will have DualSense support for Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback.
We don’t know when to expect these other than at some point in 2022 but I’m already pencilling in some time for a replay.
We loved both Resident Evil 2 and 3, even going as far as to call Resident Evil 2 ‘the new standard by which all future remakes will be judged’.
