According to Capcom’s Integrated Report, it looks like support for Resident Evil Village and Monster Hunter Rise will continue in the future.
This has tied into previous comments from Capcom that Village would get some additional content and we know Monster Hunter Rise will be getting a major expansion – Sunbreak – in 2022.
Both are games are said to be receiving free DLC in the future, though there’s no timescales recorded or any idea what kind of content that would be. It is safe to assume, however, that some of the Village content will tie into the Mercenaries expansion.
There isn’t a lot of detail at this point but according to the document (pointed out via PC Gamer and TheLoadout) Capcom say
“We will drive our customer management to understand the playing trends and preferences of users while also building a business model for online operations, taking into account the situation of our free additional DLC for titles such as Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village,”
Seems pretty clear to us. We’ll be keeping our eyes and ears out for any updates but stay tuned to Expansive for all the latest.
Yet to play either game? Both Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village are fantastic as we covered them earlier this year.
