The wait is over, Konami have finally revealed all the Silent Hill information we’ve been waiting for.
It’s difficult to say which the biggest announcement might be, but one that certainly stands out is the reveal of a Silent Hill 2 Remake, coming to PC and PlayStation 5.
Developed by Bloober Team in collaboration with Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito, players will revisit the story of James Sunderland after he receives a mysterious letter from his wife who he had assumed was long dead.
Rebuilt from the groundup on modern platforms, Silent Hill 2 is coming to Steam and PlayStation 5 in glorious 4K with enhanced visuals, sounds and gameplay.
Other big announcements during the Silent Hill showcase were Silent Hill: Townfall, a collaboration between No Code and Annapurna Interactive. Silent Hill: Ascension, an interactive streaming series coming in 2023 and available 24/7. There’s also a new movie project ‘Return to Silent Hill’ from the original director, Christophe Gans.
And the other big story, the next installment in the Silent Hill Franchise, Silent Hill f, set in 1960s Japan.
Platforms were not confirmed for any of the above titles.
