To celebrate May 4th, EA and Respawn released a neat new content update for Jedi Fallen Order.
With the inclusion of Meditation Training, players can now take on a series of challenges with wave-based combat.
Cal will get to fight all sorts of enemies across different planetary environments, and each location includes unique challenges of its own.
All challenges are graded by a star system and have different amounts of waves to contend against.
This new update is designed for veteran players as Cal will use all the abilities he gathers throughout the game.
There are 12 total challenges and each challenge has three stars, graded as such.
- Star 1: Complete the challenge
- Star 2: Complete the challenge without healing
- Star 3: Complete the challenge without taking damage
By beating these challenges, you’ll get to unlock all sorts of cool cosmetics. But if that’s not enough this update also adds Battle Grid.
The Battle Grid basically lets you create encounters by selecting location, enemy types, difficulty, and modifiers. You can even add some unique enemies that you encounter throughout the game.
And as if that’s not enough, there’s also a New Journey + which lets you replay the game with equipment carried over.
In NJ+, Cal will also get an exclusive new appearance that represents a key moment during the game. He’ll also get a new looking lightsaber which is actually a collaborative effort with Disney and Lucasfilm, based on the Batuu found at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Frankly, this could have easily been a DLC all on its own. This is a massive, generous update, and it also comes with some Accessibility improvements, such as adjusted text sizes, tweaks to QTEs and more.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is a fantastic game and one you should definitely pick up at this very special Star Warsy time of year.
