In the midst of all the excitement about Starfield, a subtle detail has also creeped out about post launch.

Within the Premium Edition Content – sold as part of the Premium Edition or as an upgrade to the Standard Edition, it’s been confirmed Starfield will be getting a story expansion post launch called Shattered Space Story Expansion.

Absolutely no details have been confirmed yet – unsurprisingly – but it’s good to know Bethesda is already setting this one up for the long term.

Of course, it should be no surprise as all other main-line Bethesda RPGs have all had post-launch support but it’s nice to see a game as expansive and massive as Starfield is no exception.

Full details of what content can be found in all editions will follow on site, but we can confirm Starfield has a release date of September 6th, and if you purchase the Premium Edition, you can even play five days early.

Alternatively, if you can wait a little longer, the game will launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.
