It had been promised that The Wonderful 101 Remastered would be getting some DLC in the future and that day has arrived.

At least in part, as the first of two installments is now available to download as a free content update. A second part will follow the week of May 26.

The DLC was originally a stretch goal as part of the Kickstarter and after the game’s great success, Platinum went straight into work mode to put it together.

After School Hero tells the story of Luka, an aspiring member of the hero strikeforce, and pits players in a side-scrolling platformer where you take enemies down with lasers.

There’s also additional modes added to the game, including an Arcade Mode, which tells the story of the DLC. A Challenge Mode lets you check out a drill of your choice and a Caravan Mode where you have 5 minutes to get the highest score you possibly can. Caravan Mode only unlocks when Part 2 releases next week.
