Tomb Raider DLC will be entirely multiplayer based

Disappointing news for those who love raiding tombs. It has been confirmed by Crystal Dynamics that all upcoming Tomb Raider DLC will be multi-player focused.

Crystal Dynamics have revealed that they have ‘no plans’ to expand the game’s single-player campaign with additional content. In fact, all upcoming DLC for the game will be dedicated to Tomb Raider’s multi-player mode.

That’s a bit disappointing, then…

The Global Brand Director of Tomb Raider, Karl Stewart broke the news via Reddit with this quote.

“There are currently no plans in place for any single player expansions,” Stewart commented. “All of our DLC is based around the multi-player experience for now.”

Perhaps we’re reading too much into things, but the ‘for now’ part of that statement at least offers a faint glimmer of hope for future single-player content.

I guess we’ll have to find another way to fill our days. Poker is always
a reliable and entertaining way of doing just that, and, with so much great choice out there, maybe there’s never been a better time to do just that? Just because Lara would rather climb rock-faces than deal cards, doesn’t mean that’s for everyone. Check out some of the other

If you do fancy a bit of multi-player Tomb Raider action on the other hand, the Caves and Cliffs add-on is already available for Xbox 360 players, priced 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40). This adds another three multi-player maps to the game.
