World of Warcraft isn’t going anywhere as Blizzard have confirmed not one, but three new expansions at Blizzcon.
Under the umbrella of the Worldsoul saga – set to celebrate 20 years of the series – Blizzard have said this will also establish the new foundations for the future of Azeroth.
It all begins with The War Within, then is followed up by World of Warcraft: Midnight, and the saga will conclude with World of Warcraft: The Last Titan.
Within The War Within, players will traverse four new zones in the area of Khaz Algar, the home of the titan-forged Earthen. As the blurb goes, you’ll start in the Isle of Dorn, then head over to the Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall and Azj-Kahet.
The Earthen are an all-new playable allied race you’ll be able to play, but you’ll also take on smaller instances, level up to 80 and earn new skills with Hero talent trees.
An all new Warbands system is also being implemented which goes across your entire family of characters.
We got a little bit of information on the other two expansions as well. Midnight is set in Azeroth’s ‘Old World’ of Quel’thalas. Then The Last Titan will return players to Northrend, which is setting for Wrath of the Lich King.
Additionally, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic was announced at Blizzcon as the game advances from Wrath Classic. This will release in the first half of 2024.
World of Warcraft Worldsoul Saga will begin in 2024.
