A remake of Yakuza 3 will launch early next year with new content and a brand new story.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties brings the classic game to modern platforms, rebuilt from the ground up and adds a never before seen story for Yoshitaka Mine, included as its own game.
In Yakuza Kiwami 3, players will once again get to assume the role of Kazuma Kiryu and his adoptive daughter, Haruka Sawamura who are now based in Okinawa, running the Morning Glory Orphanage but both the Government and Yakuza want the beachfront property and Kiryu is once again called into action to protect what he loves.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 adds new cutscenes and new side experiences, including two powerful fighting styles – Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami and the new Ryukyu Style. There’s also ‘Legendary Baddie, Bad Boy Dragon’ mode, which is a team battle where you aim to build the ‘ultimate biker gang’ and fight alongside the Ryukyu Gal Gang’.
Meanwhile Dark Ties is focused on Yakuza 3 antagonist, Yoshitaka Mine with the content set before the events of Yakuza 3, giving light to ‘Mine’s origins’ and ‘the path that led him to be immersed in the world of the Yakuza’.
Dark Ties includes a ‘Dark Awakening Mode’ a ‘Hells Arena’ which is an underground fighting club enriched by Survival Hell and a refined new combat system.
Pre-orders are now open and if you do, you’ll get a Ryukyu Gal Gang – Ichiban Legendary Lad’ DLC bonus, adding Ichiban Kasuga to the gang within the ‘Legendary Baddie, Bad Boy Dragon’ mode.
