SimCity Red Cross DLC Proceeds Going To Charity

So although SimCity launched in an air of controversy surrounding players not being able actually play the game they’d spent so much of their hard earned cash on, It appears as though EA are still looking to make amends to the games reputation and well whether it be through selflessness on EA’s part or not the fact that up to 80% of all proceeds earned from the sale of the latest DLC pack to come to SimCity will be donated to the RedCross foundation, truly is fantastic news.

The pack is available for purchase on EA’s  origin store for $9.99, which may seem a little steep, however EA has promised that once the cost of development has been recouped EA will be donating  8$ from every sale of the DLC to the charity in order to.

to support humanitarian services of the participating Red Cross National Societies,

Titles the Red Cross Disaster Relief DLC, players will be able to construct their own Redcross disaster relief stations containing field hospitals and tents when their own virtual metropolises are struck low by a natural disaster.  For more information on the DLC pack head on over to the SimCity community blog, as I reported a few days ago this is another fine example of our Industry performing feats of charity in times of need, hopefully we’ll be seeing more of these charity related DLC pack from EA.
