Celeste creator, Matt Thorson, has revealed that his indie masterpiece will receive some free DLC in the near future.
Celeste was well received by critics and fans alike, and Matt Thorson wants to give the game the send-off, he feels, it deserves.
Sadly, the free update will not launch in time for Celeste’s first year anniversary, but it will be one continuous chapter with noB-Side.
While there will be no strawberries to collect, new items and mechanics will be added. The most exciting for some people, however, is that these new DLC levels will be set after the currently hardest levels in Celeste.
Some Celeste DLC Chapter details:
-It won’t be ready for the anniversary on Jan 25th, sorry!
-It’s all one continuous chapter, no B-Side
-It’s after the current hardest levels in difficulty
-No strawberries
-There are some new items/mechanics
-Free on all platforms— Matt Thorson 🍂 (@MattThorson) January 12, 2019
There’s no release date for the Celeste DLC as yet but we’ll keep you update as soon as we know more.
