Diablo 3 Eternal Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch this year with exclusive content.
Forbes broke an embargo earlier today, revealing a long-confirmed rumour which will see a Blizzard game on a Nintendo platform for the first time since the N64.
The Eternal Collection released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in June last year and contains the base game as well as both Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions.
Diablo 3 can be played co-operatively with up to 4 players on a single Switch console. There will also be up to four players on four different Switch consoles without the need for an internet connection and you can team up online using the Nintendo Switch Online service coming next month. Diablo 3 will also support cloud saves.
Most excitingly, the Switch version will get exclusive Nintendo themed content in the form of in-game gear. There will be Ganondorf cosmetic armor, as well as a Tri-Force portrait frame, Chicken pet, and Echoes of the Mask cosmetic wings.
Diablo 3 Eternal Collection will cost $59.99 on Switch. No release date, though Blizzcon happens in November so that could make some sense.
Kotaku say we should expect some hands-on impressions to go live tomorrow as well as the official announcement.
