There was a lot of news for EA’s annual football title Fifa 14 coming out EA’s Games-Con in cologne yesterday. Possibly the most interesting of which to us here at Expansive DLC is the introduction of ‘Legends’ to the Fifa Ultimate team game mode. Players will be able to combine legendary players of the past such as ‘Pele’ or ‘Berkgamp’ with their current squads. As an Arsenal fan myself I’m pretty excited to see Mr Liungberg’s name appear in the list. Take a full look of legendary players that will be available in Fifa 14:
Dennis Bergkamp | Fernando Hierro | Robert Pirès |
Oliver Bierhoff | Filippo Inzaghi | Frank Rijkaard |
Sol Campbell | Patrick Kluivert | David Seaman |
Fabio Cannavaro | Henrik Larsson | Teddy Sheringham |
Rui Costa | Jens Lehmann | Andriy Shevchenko |
Hernán Crespo | Gary Lineker | Davor Šuker |
Frank de Boer | Freddie Ljungberg | Marco van Basten |
Marcel Desailly | Paolo Maldini | Edwin van der Sar |
Paulo Futre | Lothar Matthäus | Ruud van Nistelrooy |
Stefan Effenberg | Gary Neville | Patrick Vieira |
Robbie Fowler | Michael Owen | Christian Vieri |
Ruud Gullit | Pauleta | George Weah |
Gheorghe Hagi | Pelé | Gianfranco Zola |
Is you’re mouth all ready watering over the Idea of combining Messi and Pele’ in attack? You’ll also be able to transfer you’re ultimate team from the current gen version of Fifa 14 to the next- gen along with any in game item’s you’ve purchased and you’re all important manager mode! Using the Fifa 14 cross play feature which will carry over such date from you’re Xbox 360 version to the Xbox One and similarly between the Ps3 and Ps4, this is is pretty handy following the news that pre-orders of the Xbox One will come bundled with a free copy of Fifa 14 (I hope all you early adopters love football!).
Also revealed was the new online game mode called Co-op Seasons. Which is essentially the same as the current online seasons mode where you play against opponents online to reach the peak of division one (no easy task I assure you) although it may be all that much easier now that you can do it with a friend. Seaons has also had player injuries and progression features added from Fifa Matchday.
Last but not least if you haven’t already had you’re fill of Fifa 14 news! New licences for the Chilean and Argentinian leagues have now been added to Fifa 14, bringing the full number of licensed leagues up to a whopping 33, with over 16,000 players.
The game will release on all current gen systems and Pc on September 27th with a demo coming September 10th. Take a look at the new game play trailers (voiced by one Patrick Stewart!).
