Launching alongside Arms, Nintendo are releasing Battery Packs for the Joy-Con controllers on June 16th which offer increased battery life.
These packs attach to the back of the Joy-Con and seem to offer further grip as well as additional battery life.
There’s no word on exact specs, but we do know it takes AA Batteries and it just seems to slide onto the back. The 2400mAh batteries coupled with the built-in 520mAh battery does mean, though, that your Joy-Con is unlikely to run out of juice anytime soon though.
This was announced in addition to brand new neon yellow Joy-Cons releasing at the same time, as well as release dates for Splatoon 2, and various other Switch titles including Minecraft, Streetfighter 2 and newly announced Payday 2.
