Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man DLC will have self-contained story, still due in 2021

It seems the exclusive PlayStation Spider-Man DLC for Marvel’s Avengers will be more than just a simple skin update.

As confirmed by a Discord post, via MP1st and VGC the Senior Producer of the game, Dan Matlack, has branded the Spider-Man DLC as an ‘event’.

This means we can expect the content to have ‘cut scenes and a story’ – While we don’t know whether it will be to the degree of War of Wakanda, it certainly seems like quite a coup for PlayStation.

Crystal Dynamics have also reconfirmed the content is due this year, so we won’t have too much longer to wait.

The news also comes alongside the shock announcement that Marvel’s Avengers and all of its content (except for Spider-Man, of course) will be available on Xbox Game Pass from September 30th.
