A DLC intended to generate revenue for the family of Michael Forgey’s family will now be made available for free.
Michael Forgey, a former Executive Producer at Monolith, sadly passed away last year from cancer. He worked extensively on Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War before passing.
So, WB decided to make the DLC premium in order to raise money for the YouCaring Charity set up for family. But then questions were asked, for instance, if the money raised outside the US be donated to the family? Some were also concerned that WB would profit from the content in some way
As the questions were raised and opinions were voiced, WBIE finally made a statement that the Forthog content will be free to everyone and that they will donate to the family directly, encouraging gamers to donate the YouCaring Charity instead.
Either way, it’s a lovely gesture and we’d encourage any of our readers to follow their advice.
