Mortal Kombat 1 Pre-Order DLC adds Shang Tsung, Premium adds Kombat Pack and early access from September 14

Mortal Kombat is back, and it’s kind of going back to the beginning.

The very smart, creative way Netherrealms are rebooting the series gives it a chance to wipe the slate clean, while bringing back fan favourites and essentially creating a new starting point, while paying homage to what’s come before.

Mortal Kombat 1 returns from September 14th – if you purchase the Premium Edition –  and comes with some cool pre-order incentives, as well as some awesome new skins.

For all pre-orders, you will unlock Shang Tsung as a playable character, regardless of whether you go for the standard or premium editions. And if you pre-order of PS5, you’ll also get access to an Online Beta from August 18th to the 21st.

With the premium edition, however, you get 5 days early access before the game’s official launch on September 19th, as well as 1,250 Dragon Krystals (the in-game currency)

On top of that comes the Kombat Pack, which adds…

    • Jean-Claude Van Damme Character Skin for Johnny Cage
    • Early Access to Six Playable Characters
    • Five New Kameo Characters

And if you get the Premium Edition, you’ll also get the aforementioned Expansion Pass which includes Omni-Man, Homelander, Peacemaker,  Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda.

Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19th, with early access beginning from September 14th on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
