In a rather surprising announcement today, Deep Silver and Nine Dots have confirmed DLC is coming for OUTWARD.

Due in the Spring, the content is entitled The Soroboreans and it will pick up right where the base game left off.

The DLC will add new features, such as more emphasis on corruption and being thirsty, hungry and cold. The level of corruption also affects you in different ways.

There’ll be an all new Enchanting system as well, meaning you can give your favourite trinkets and weapons improved stats.

And finally a skills and status effects system which are apparently used to aid with any corruption issues you face, while adding new ways to play.
