In an interview with Digital Spy, Gary Clay, the senior franchise marketing manager for Popcap, has confirmed that the gameplay experience will be expanded significantly post-launch and that the first free content will come later this month.
The third person shooter is being considered as ‘a service’ with free content updates responding to community requests.
Clay confirmed that “We will be listening to the community for the types of content they want to see, and then we’ll continuously update that.” and that one of main things they’re going to be updating is the ‘in-game billboard on the menu screen’ turning it into ‘a dynamic billboard that we can [use to] communicate with players.”
We can expect to see maps and mode included in Popcap’s plans. Basically “Anything you’d expect from a third-person shooter.”
What’s more, the team is working on Peggle 2 updates and the splitscreen peg-party support is among them.
