Currently being reported from around the world is that PS4 users are highlighting major issues with their new rather expensive machine; dubbed the Blue Blinking Light of Death (BBLoD)*
According to Sony the problems that are possibly causing the BBLoD could include no audio or video output to your television; the console, due to this, is powering itself off.
In response to the issues raised Sony is recommending that the users (with the BBLoD) turn off the console completely by pressing and holding the power button for seven seconds. They also advise that users should make sure that the hard drive “is properly seated” in its bay as any loose connections can prevent the console from powering on fully.
Selling so far more than One Million units within the first day of launch, Sony estimates that this issue is currently effecting 0.4% (about 4000 people in the 1 million sales) of all users. Sony has said in a statement, “This is within our expectations for a new product introduction, and the vast majority of PS4 feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”
Are you in the 0.4%? What have you found that is working for you?
