After years of support, working with the biggest names in music, Rock Band 4 support is finally coming to an end.
Releasing in 2015, support has been going for nearly 16 years, but the last DLC pack will release this week on Janaury 25th. And according to Harmonix, we can expect tear-jerkers.
Last week, Harmonix released Elton John ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ and The Troggs ‘Our Love Will Still Be There’ to give you a taste of what to expect this week.
Wildly, Harmonix has been continuing to release weekly tracks over the last 8 years throughout that time, leaving players with an astonishing catalogue of nearly 3,000 tracks playable in game.
But that all comes to an end this week, and you certainly can’t fault the team for the amazing post launch support they’ve provided. Priorities have shifted internally – the team are now moving onto Fortnite Festival where Rock Band 4 instruments will soon be playable – and it means no more packs will be released.
Don’t worry, though, all content you have purchased over the years will be maintained and according to Harmonix, will be playable for as long as you like. Harmonix have also said all other live services will continue as normal, including Rivals seasons, and online play.
Thanks for the memories, Rock Band. Gone, but definitely never, ever forgotten.
