The next 2.5D installment in the Sonic series is coming next month and it has a distinctly multiplayer focus.
Sonic Superstars lets you choose between Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy in a four player co-op adventure or take on others from around the world in challenges.
Each character has their own emerald powers as you travel to Northstar Islands in a bid to stop Dr Eggman, Fang and a mysterious new enemy.
But speaking of Eggman, you’re going to want to pre-order the Deluxe Edition of Sonic Superstars before October 17 in order to get your own LEGO Eggman Character skin.
The Digital Deluxe Edition also contains a Sonic Rabbit skin, exclusive mech parts for Battle Mode, a Digital Artbook and Mini Original Soundtrack and Bonus Main Menu Wallpapers.
There’s also a LEGO Fun Pack that can be purchased seperately, which adds the following
- LEGO Tails Skin
- LEGO Amy Skin
- LEGO Knuckles Skin
- Additional LEGO Stages for Battle Mode.
As announced today, Battle Mode has a variety of unique stages and races, like Zap Scrap – where you shoot at other players to earn points – and Star Snatcher where you have to collect a amount of stars within the time limit.
Sonic Superstars sounds really promising and it launches October 17 across all formats.
