Detective Pikachu Returns offers new ways to play on October 6

The long-awaited follow up to the 3DS Detective Pikachu is releasing this October on Switch.

Detective Pikachu Returns releases October 6th and it not only continues the story from the first game but also spices things up with a few new mechanics. And better graphics, of course.

Set in Ryme City, Detective Pikachu is on the hunt for Harry Goodman, his owner, and teams up, once again with Tim. All while drinking lots of coffee.

This time around, there’s also some new Pokémon to be found to help with your mystery and they can even lend their abilities to help you find your way around, like Luxray is able to look through walls. Sounds handy!

You can also ride on the back of Growlithe and pick up a scent. Amongst other possibilities.

Tim will interview humans while Pikachu can chat with Pokémon. Combined, they certainly sound like a formidable team.

Detective Pikachu Returns is shaping up to a fun one. It launches on Nintendo Switch October 6th.
