Capcom are joining a list of major publishers launching on Switch 2 day one on June 5th.
Street Fighter VI and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess are launching on Nintendo Switch 2 day one and both are getting new ways to play and in case of SF6, new content.
You can now play a Local Wireless Match in SF6 for users who have a Nintendo Switch 2, as well as a Local Avatar Match where you can play custom avatars from World Tour Mode.
SF6 can also be played in Tabletop Mode with Joy-Cons, and in Gyro Battles where you fight each other using Motion controls. There’s also a fun new Calorie content where you can use Joy-Cons to perform various actions to test strength and endurance.
You can also use amiibo with SF6 and new figures and cards will be released for the game, including Luke, Jamie and Kimberly at launch of Switch 2. Collectible amiibo cards will also be available with the Starter Pack, featuring all 22 characters through Year 1 and this unlocks new in-game content.
Amiibo interactions are also being added in so you can customise your character’s outfit and you can gain rewards for each figure and card collected, even the Ryu and Ken figures from Smash Bros, and you can get exclusive wallpaper, BGM and photo frames.
Switch 2 owners will get all content released in Year 1 and 2, with all 26 characters in the game. A Standard Edition will also launch on Switch 2.
Additionally, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is also coming day one to Switch 2 with new features, including being able to play the game portably, enhanced control schemes for Switch 2 with mouse and gyro controls and a new challenge ‘Otherworldly Venture’ added as a fresh experience on top of the base game, available for all formats.
