John Cena is ready to get things rolling with WWE 2K23 and 2K are right there along for the ride.
With the game just a few weeks away now, today we have a better idea of what the post-launch roadmap looks like and it is extensive.
With the likes of Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair already confirmed, 2K will add some faces who’ve only recently joined the action. Including the one and only Bray Wyatt.
24 wrestlers will be added in total, combining new superstars and legends, spanning throughout 2023 and until August.
Beginning April 19, the Steiner Row Pack will, unsurprisingly, add The Steiner Brothers (Scott and Rick) as well as Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis, and B-Fab of Hit Row fame.
Next up is Pretty Sweet on May 17, as the O.C. return to WWE 2K. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows made a splash upon their return last year and they’re joined by some NXT breakouts, Elton Prince, Kit Wilson, and Tiffany Stratton.
Speaking of NXT, the Race to NXT Pack comes June 14 and with it are Wendy Choo, Tony D’Angelo, Trick Williams and Ivy Nile. The pack is headlined by the legend, Harley Race.
Then perhaps the one we’re all waiting for. On July 19 you can Revel with Wyatt as Bray Wyatt is added as a DLC to the game. Though, sadly, Uncle Howdy is nowhere to be found. However, Wyatt will be joined by Blair Davenport, Joe Gacy, Valhalla, and the mighty Zeus.
Finally, we’ve got some (not so) Bad News for U in the final pack on August 16, as Wade Barrett joins the game as a character, alongside Eve Torres, Damon Kemp, Andre Chase, and Nathan Frazer.
It’s certainly an interesting mix of characters with many names people may be unfamiliar with and a couple of notable misses, but seeing Bray on the roadmap, alongside the likes of the O.C, Hit Row, Wendy Choo and Trick Williams is sure to bring a smile to a few faces.
WWE 2K23 is almost here with Deluxe and Icon edition owners getting it March 14 and everyone else on March 17. WWE 2K23 is available on Steam, PS, and Xbox
